Easy to learn and excellent for simple animations.
I have used TA for many years and have several animations on Youtube . 'The Malone Mystery' being the most complex and (I think) a good demonstration of just how far you can push this deceptively simple and yet powerful program. It was never designed to produce sophisticated animations but, as its name suggests, it was designed for animating stories by (or with) children. Unfortunately, the developer took an oblique turn when trying to include pseudo 3D effects and all development of the program ceased after v.3.01. If only it had been left as it was (as a 2D animating tool) and then refined, it might have been feasible to update it for use with Windows 8 and 10. As it is, XP is the last OS that can run it .... although I have seen strange references to it being downloadable for Windows 10. I find that hard to believe - but maybe others know something different. I hope so.
Pros: Programs read like ordinary language
Data-trapping and testing are made simple
Cons: Needs to work with OS later than XP
Pseudo 3D effects were a mistake
